THE SHIP STOLEM

The ship called "Stolem" did his first course in July 2001. Its construction is based on a hull of a seagoing ship's lifeboat (carrying up to 60 people), meeting all the seafaring safety standars. It was launched on Lake Ostrzyckie in June 2001.

displacement: 3970 kg
maximum speed: 7,5 sea knot (about 12,5 km/h)

What also makes the unique is its driving force. It is equipped with an environment-friendly 7.5 kW electric engine. It is relatively silent, supplied by acidic batteries (which also serve as part of the ship's ballast) and it can function for 6 hours without being recharged.
